Patrick Makin's first job as a writer was as a war correspondent in Yemen, however, when he decided that being bombed and shot at really isn't all it's cracked up to be, he moved to Bristol and cut his teeth working as script-editor for Aardman. From plasti-cine creatures to real life was quite a leap but he still likes to bring a lighter touch to everything he writes.

Whooli Chen works with a delicate palette and sensitive painterly layers that takes whimsical illustration to another realm. Whooli studied an MA in Illustration at the University of the Arts London, where she found a muse in an urban street fox.
