Session 1: Time: 11.15am -12.15pm / Mouse by the Sea by Alice Melvin

Award winning illustrator and designer Alice Melvin has written and illustrated many beautiful children’s books .
Her wonderful illustrations stem from time spent sketching in nature, observing animals and plants in their native habitats .
In this delightful series we see Mouse travel from his home in ‘Mouse’s Wood’ along the river, in ‘Mouse on the River’ to ‘Mouse by the Sea’ as he arrives by the seaside, to spend a relaxing summer holiday.
This latest beautiful book has all the magical flaps and maps of the first two in the series . Lift the flaps to discover rock pools and seaside wildlife and treasures - spot and learn more about nature as mouse explores the coast.Alice is visiting us at Buttercup on Sunday 15th June to read her latest book - Mouse by the Sea .
 
There are two sessions
11.15 - 12.15 one in the shop from and 13.30 - 14.15 the second at at a delightful beach hut - at West Beach Whitstable - a short walk along the beach, in the direction of Seasalter.
Both sessions include a making activity suitable for all ages and book signing. There is a £4.00 booking fee per family, redeemable against any one of Alice Melvin’s books
